These plants are traditionally winter growers requiring careful watering over the winter periods and will survive if you go on holiday (maybe to visit their cousins in the Canaries) for an extended period. To keep the dark leaves they will need to be exposed to a lot of bright sun light and the leaves will go droopy when it needs water but will soon perk up again.
Please note these plants do look much greener in the winter period.
Fun fact, these plant propagate really easily so if it is starting to get a bit tall chop off its head!!! the bottom will sprout more heads and the top if allowed to dry out for a week or so can be placed in gritty compost will root easily. you’ll soon have a multitude of them around your house just like me.
Here at DJA Plants we believe that our planet deserves to be plastic free so your succulent will be provided in a terracotta pot in an appropriate free draining mix of compost and grit.
